I'm an audience journalist with more than a decade in news, from hyperlocal sites to a large global organization.

My first full-time job in journalism was as a local news reporter at Patch.com, covering all forms of news for the Long Island region. The best part about this job was impacting communities through my storytelling. My coverage has inspired community meetings, helped a teacher get their job back, and held government and people in power accountable. Aside from reporting the news, I wore many hats. I worked as a social media manager, a community moderator, and a producer of alerts and daily newsletters. This is how I became interested in the audience side of journalism, leading me to work at CNN as an SEO Analyst, focusing on how to optimize and build coverage to best reach search audiences while continuing to engage and retain loyal users.

I’ve always been a person with a never-ending stream of ideas, inside and outside of work. I've leaned on my creativity to succeed in both roles. I love pitching, brainstorming, and seeing original ideas come to fruition.

Working in an audience-focused role at CNN introduced me to data and visuals. I spent my personal time developing my data analysis and visualization skills across various programs, enhancing the actionable insights and takeaways that I then shared at CNN.
